In memory of
Wilma Beld
Beld, Wilma Wilma Jean Beld, age 90, of Grandville, went to meet her Lord on Thursday, February 7, 2019. She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Robert Beld and her second husband, John Huitema; her son, Bill "Snake" Beld; and one great-grandchild. Wilma raised her five boys, stretching many dollars, and working an astounding variety of jobs, while supporting her husband on the family farm. She was an avid golfer into her 80's and enjoyed baking, driving fast, and her "Happy Hour" every Thursday afternoon. Wilma was an adventurous spirit, always taking advantage of new opportunities and experiences, and frequently was apprehended on one of her impromptu golf cart "escapes". Wilma will be greatly missed by her sons and their wives, Bob and Ruth, Tom and Mary, Rick and Gayle, Steve and Laurie; 34 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. A service celebrating Wilma's life will be held on Saturday, February 16, 2019, at 11 a.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville), 4145 Chicago Dr. SW with Chaplain Caleb Walcott officiating. A private committal service will be held at Floral View Memorial Gardens. Relatives and friends may meet the family on Saturday from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Faith Hospice in Wilma's honor. The family would like to express a special thanks to all of Wilma's caregivers. For those unable to attend, plans are pending for a casual memorial get-together after the "big thaw". Condolences may be sent online at www.mkdfuneralhome.com .
