In memory of
Richardson, Kristopher Kristopher Kent Richardson came into this world on March 22, 1961 and left it naturally per his wishes at Butterworth Hospital on February 3, 2019. In spite of his health challenges, Kris always maintained his sense of humor, his easy smile, and lots of contagious laughter. He was loyal to a fault as evidenced by the fact that many of his closest friendships began back in grade school. Kris was born and raised in Rockford, Michigan, graduating from Rockford High School in 1979. He later moved to Morley, MI where he made more great friends. Always a hard worker, he worked in HVAC at Blakeslee and Sons and then branched out on his own with K & B Heating and Cooling until retirement. He enjoyed the simpler things in life. His family and friends, a cold drink, classic rock & roll (or his favorite radio program, Big Ass Happy Family, on the Outlaw channel every Saturday evening), and a lake view was all it took to make him happy. But his greatest joy in life was his grandson, Elliot, who shares his birthday with "Papa Kris". Kris was preceded in death by his grandparents A.O. Richardson, LaMonte and Shirley King, and his Aunt Diane Durham. He will be missed so much by his wife Diane Richardson, children Kristin (Eric) Morrison, Jason (Korin Hollinshead) Richardson, parents Merri Richardson, Dean (Peg) Richardson, parents in-law Wayne and Lorna Grassley, sister Kerri (Mike) Herweyer, sisters-in-law Amanda (John) Parmer, Michele (Chris) Ludtke, Rebecca (Rick) Goerner, grandson Elliot Leland Morrison, granddaughter Sloane LaPreze, grandmother Dorothy Christiansen, step-children Clint (Jenn) LaPreze, Ali LaPreze, his beloved dog A.O., lots of aunts, uncles, cousins, and so many other family and friends. Kris was very vocal about the fact that he did not want a funeral service, he wants a party! The celebration of Kris' life will take place at a date yet to be determined. Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of West Michigan.
