Jason Loftin Scoggins
Jason Loftin Scoggins, 38, of Alabaster, AL, went to be the Lord on February 6, 2019. We know he is rejoicing in heaven after being reunited with his best friends, Eric and Scott. Jason was born on July 24, 1980 in Birmingham. He married his childhood sweetheart, Denise Speir, and they celebrated over 13 years of marriage and countless memories together. He earned his Master of Business Administration degree from UAB and was the Director of Fiscal Services at Bradford Health Services. Their daughter, Mary Eloise Scoggins was the light of his life and his greatest joy - along with the Alabama Crimson Tide. Jason is survived by Denise Speir Scoggins, wife; Mary Eloise Scoggins, daughter; Mindy and James Loftin Scoggins, parents; sister, Jennifer (Jamie) Garrett; Reed and Rhett Garrett nephews; Judy Taylor, grandmother; Mike Burgess, grandfather; and a host of family and friends. Jason is preceded in death by Clara and James Scoggins. Visitation will be held on Monday, February 11 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church from 6-7pm and Mass will follow from 7-8pm officiated by Father Fallon. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in honor of Mary Eloise to Kingwood Christian School, Attn: Ruth Gray, 1351 Royalty Drive, Alabaster, AL 35007.
