In memory of
Richard "Rick" Coble, 69, beloved husband, father and brother, passed away on Monday, January 21, 2019, at Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare, Tallahassee, Florida. Born in June, 1949, in Mechanicsburg, PA, to Richard M. and Patricia (Shepler) Coble, Rick was a graduate of Mechanicsburg High School class of 1967, excelling in wrestling, football, academics, and student government. He received an accounting degree from Hofstra University, New York, in 1971. From his first jobs during summer breaks with the accounting firm, Greenawalt & Associates, Mechanicsburg, to his achievements as partner at Rachlin & Cohen, a top 25 accounting firm in the Florida area, to his private consulting in later years, Rick strived for excellence in his profession. He married his wife, Christine "Tina" Loos in 1972, and they raised a son, Christopher and a daughter, Amanda. Through most of his adult life, Rick resided in Florida. Returning to Boiling Springs, PA, in 2002 for a few years, he enjoyed a fulfilling period guest teaching for the Capital Area Intermediate Unit. Rick discovered soccer while living in Florida and, through the years, developed a real passion for the sport, coaching his son's and daughter's recreation teams, top Florida girls' travel teams, and middle school teams. Additionally, he served as President of the Top of Florida Soccer Club and later became a Florida Youth Soccer Association District Commissioner. He was an avid FSU sports fan. Preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Patricia Coble of Boiling Springs, PA, Rick is survived by his wife of 47 years, Christine Coble, of Tallahassee; son, Christopher (Florabeth) Coble of Maui, HI; daughter, Amanda Coble of Maui, HI; brothers, Patrick (Mary) Coble of Mechanicsburg, PA and Lee (Carolyn) Coble of Polson, MT; grandson, William Wilder Coble of Maui, HI; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Private celebrations of Rick's life will be held at the convenience of the family in Tallahassee, FL and Boiling Springs, PA.
