In memory of
Janet Miller Johnson
Janet, of Rock Creek, died peacefully on Wednesday after a difficult and lengthy struggle with pancreatic cancer. Janet was a 1972 Ensley High School graduate and BellSouth retiree. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mildred and Henry and her brother, Ricky. She is survived by her husband of 28 years, Joseph C. (Mike) Johnson; her brother, Henry and her cousins, Martha, Marion and Byron. Janet leaves behind many friends and special memories; her Hueytown Knitters and Red Hat Ladies, her church. Our heartfelt thanks to the following for their great compassion and care: Dr. Steinmetz, Dr. Issis, Dr. Wood, Dr. Rossman Hospice Services of Alabama and everyone who cared for us at Alabama Oncology (Bessemer)… she knew everyone by name; the Concord Fire Department and Weldon Pharmacy. Burial will be private, but a Remembrance service will be held at Green Pond Presbyterian Church on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. and then on everyday for the rest of our lives. Pastor Bev Dodson will be officiating the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Green Pond Presbyterian Church, P. O. Box 100, Green Pond, AL 35074.
