Agnes Georgina Page Palm Desert - Agnes Georgina Page, born October 24, 1924 to George and Agnes Williams of Toronto, passed at her home in Palm Desert, California into the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at 4:58AM, January 24, 2019. Agnes attended the University of Toronto Conservatory of Music for 2½ years and left to attend Shaw's Business College in Toronto receiving a diploma in Business. In 1948, she left Toronto with her husband Bert and settled in Palo Alto, CA. She held the position of Departmental Secretary at Stanford University from August 1951 to May of 1953, a research transcriber at the Center for Advanced Study in the Behavioral Sciences at Stanford University for 16 years and Personal and Research Assistant under Dr. Thomas Sowell at the Hoover Institution at Stanford University, until she retired January 16, 1992 and moved to the Desert in 1994. A soprano, Agnes loved signing in numerous choirs, was a member in the Stanford University Memorial Church Choir and performed as a soloist in local churches. If not singing, you would find her caring for children, comforting patients at Eisenhower Medical Center or enjoying a glass of Champagne with friends. Preceded in death by 2 brothers, George and Tom, her sons Robert and Tom, and husband Bert, while leaving behind 2 grandchildren, Ashlee Anne and Treavor Page, 3 great grandchildren, and extended family of Glenn, Ben and Bill Weaver. She will be remembered as a beautiful lady, one that was compassionate, caring, giving, sweet, vivacious, and dearly loved by all that knew her. Agnes donated her body to science and research at Loma Linda Medical Center and requested that any remembrance of her be with a gift to your favorite charity or a ministry.
