Memorial services for Daniel Reynolds Symonds, 67 of Whitehouse, are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Friday, February 8, 2019 in the chapel of Jackson's Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Home with Dr. Ron Herring officiating. Mr. Symonds passed away on January 14, 2019 in Tyler after a short battle with cancer. He was born March 1, 1951 in St. Louis, Missouri to the late Ralph John and Marian Blanke Symonds. Dan retired after 30 years as a special agent for the Naval Criminal Investigative Service and was a Catholic. He is survived by his loving family, wife, Jana Symonds of Whitehouse; daughter, Danielle Symonds of Whitehouse; sister, Ann Merten and husband, Peter of St. Louis, Missouri; their children, Maggi Creese and husband, David of England and Zak Merten and wife, Millie of Colorado; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jon and Joy Sheppard of Whitehouse; and their children, Jon Sheppard, Jr. and wife, Lauren, Matthew Sheppard and wife, Amy, and Elizabeth Sheppard; seven great nieces, one great nephew; other family and dear friends.
