Services for Randell Boyd will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at Galena Community Church with Rev. Charlie Musselwhite officiating. A graveside service will follow at Union Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Hilliard Funeral Home on Tuesday evening from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Randell Lee Boyd was born December 6, 1927 in Van Zandt County. He had been a resident of the Van area all of his life and was a member of Galena Community Church. He retired from Kelly Springfield after 28 years of service and served in the Korean War. Mr. Boyd passed away at the age of 91 on February 4, 2019 at his home. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nell Boyd; daughter, Pam Boyd; parents, William Marshall "Bud" Boyd and Minnie Mae "Dobie" Smith Boyd; and brothers, Bill Boyd and J.M. Boyd. Survivors include his two daughters, Janet Boyd and Cheryl McWilliams (Carl), all of Van; siblings, Carl Boyd (Lou Nell), Brenda Hartgraves (Hugh), Rosie Crowley (Weldon), and Betty Reynolds (Larry), all of Van; sisters-in-law, Norma Boyd and Imogene Boyd; three grandchildren, Leslie Justice (Kenneth), Casey McWilliams (Brandi) and Laci Aviles (David); and great-grandchildren, Landon, Jackson, Camdon, Jace, Carly and Connor. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Galena Community Church, P O Box 820, Van, Texas 75790.
