Alice Calhoun Alice Calhoun, 89, of Winchester, N.H., and formerly a longstanding resident of Canandaigua, passed away peacefully on Jan. 28, 2019, with her family by her side, at Applewood Rehabilitation Center, where she had resided for the past three years. She was born on Feb. 26,1929, in Canandaigua to Albert and Beulah Walker. Alice was married to Warner "Putt" Calhoun on June 5, 1948, and they enjoyed 55 years of marriage together. She had a love for life and was always ready for a new adventure. Alice enjoyed reading, cooking, watching birds and listening to country music. She was well known for her beautiful flower gardens and was always ready to share her knowledge of flowers. She spent her younger years as a homemaker and later worked at Mobil Chemical, from where she retired after 35 years of service. She is survived by her son, David Calhoun and wife Shirley; grandchildren, Bill (Holly) Calhoun and Emily (Rob) Mitchell; and her nine great-grandchildren who were very special in her life, Jed, Olivia, Ryland, Nathan, Molly, Jack, Aubrey, Elyza and Elsie. She is also survived by her brothers, Chuck Walker and Steve (Sue) Walker; and several nieces and nephews. Alice was predeceased by her parents; husband, Putt; brother, Jim Walker; and sisters, Helen Krossber and June Murphy. Friends may call on Thursday, February 7, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Fuller Funeral Home, 190 Buffalo St., Canandaigua. An 11 a.m. funeral service will be held on Friday, February 8, at the funeral home, followed by burial in Woodlawn Cemetery.
