Vivien Rita Cospelich Bullard
Vivien Rita Cospelich Bullard, 92 of Pascagoula, passed from this life on Sunday, January 20, 2019 in Pascagoula. Mrs. Bullard was born September 19, 1926 in Long Beach, Mississippi. She attended St. Thomas Catholic School and graduated from Long Beach High School in 1944. Her first job was with the Employment Service in Pascagoula where she met her husband, David Graham Bullard in Pascagoula and was married in 1946. Her oldest daughters Dianne and Patricia were born in Hattiesburg, where they lived for four years. Her other three children, Judy, Susie and Andrew were born in Fort Eustis, Virginia while David was stationed there. The family moved back to Pascagoula in 1962 and Vivien lived on their Krebs Lake property until Hurricane Katrina devastated the Gulf Coast. She then went to live in Aurora, Colorado with Judy for two years. Vivien resided at Plaza Community Living Center since returning to Pascagoula. She worked for the Jackson County Tax Collector's office and retired after 16 years of service in 1994. She was an active member in the Lake School PTA and was also a "Room Mother" for many years. She was a member of Our Lady of Victories Catholic Church and participated in church activities and fundraising projects. She also served on the board of the American Cancer Society. Vivien was a voracious reader of a wide range of literature. She especially enjoyed boat rides and watching the activity on the lake from her back yard. She was an accomplished cook of coastal cuisine. Dinner was always at 5:00pm and her children were always there. She was also an avid collector of myriad objects, especially things connected to the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Vivien was preceded in death by her former husband, David Bullard; parents, Andrew and Ethel Cospelich; eldest sister, Myrtle Pagano and beloved sister, Edith Reed; brothers, Harold Cospelich, Herman Cospelich, Andrew Cospelich and George Cospelich; She is survived by her children, Dianne Marak (Bob), Patricia Bullard, Judith Bullard, Susan Bullard (Bill Zimmerman) and Andrew Bullard; Grandchildren, David Lishman, Jr. (Hillary), Audrey Beach, Tara Stef, Shannon Hunter (Mark), Adri Bullard-Rogers (Jimmy), Amelia Bullard and Miranda Zimmerman. Great-Grandchildren, Ethan Hunter, Ella Hunter, Joey Trosclair (Lon), Bethany Harrelson (Chance) and Zachary Lishman; Great-Great Granddaughter, Annabelle Trosclair; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm Sunday, January 27, 2019 from the chapel of Coastal Funeral Home with Rev. Andy Colette officiating.
