Thomas Allen "Tommy" Lancaster
Thomas "Tommy" Allen Lancaster, Sr., age 86, passed on into the Angels arms on January 9, 2019 after a short illness. Tommy Lancaster was prior owner of Metalcrafts, a roofing and sheet metal company in Savannah. He will always be remembered as a loving husband, devoted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who was a friend to all he met. He believed in helping others, in God, his country, and was a great cook. He loved to fish and spend time traveling with his Ramblin Rovers Camping Group. Tommy was also a veteran of the U.S. Army Reserves. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Carolyn S. Lancaster; his children, Debra (Tommy) Long, Allen (Donnie) Lancaster, Jeffery (Janice) Lancaster, and Joseph (Sandy) Lancaster; his brother and sisters, C.E. "Pete" Lancaster, L.A. "Lem" Lancaster, Judy Triplett, and Winnie Huncke; ten grandchildren; and eighteen great-grandchildren. Visitation was held from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Friday, January 11, 2019 at Richmond Hill Funeral Home. Funeral Services were held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Richmond Hill First Baptist Church with burial in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Savannah. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Jamaica Missions or Haiti Missions at Richmond Hill First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 1390, Richmond Hill, GA 31324 or to Kindred Hospice, 2280 E. Victory Dr., Ste A, Savannah, GA 31404.
