JOSEPH COOK Joseph Raymond Cook, 66, of Las Vegas, passed away January 8, 2019. Born January 30, 1952, to Rose and Joseph Cook in Los Angeles, he served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War and graduated from Cal Poly Pomona. A Las Vegas resident for 36 years, Joe retired from NV Energy in 2017 after 33 years as a Mechanical Engineer. He enjoyed camping and traveling with his family and could often be found using his engineering skills and creative energy for home improvement projects. Joe was a devoted and beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend. He is survived by his wife, of 32 years, Chanda; daughter, Lynsey; sons, Zachary and Jon Michael; sister, Joanne Davis; brothers, Richard and James Cook; two grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and his fur babies, Molly and Tonks. Family and friends will gather for a Celebration of Life at a future date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to your charity of choice.
