Mary E. Adamsky
Mary Elizabeth Sweeney Adamsky entered into eternal rest Thursday, Jan. 10, 2019, in Little River, S.C., at the age of 98. She enjoyed a long life and was fairly active and independent until recently. Following the death of her husband of 54 years, Adam W. Adamsky, in 2001, she lived with her caring daughter, Patricia Sperry Leeser. Mary was born Oct. 22, 1920, in Evans City, to Harry and Phoebe Wolfe Sweeney. She was preceded in death by her brother, Harold Sweeney, of Sarver. Mary graduated from Tarentum High School in 1938. Throughout her life, she held a number of jobs. She worked for A&P, SUN Drug and the New Kensington Credit Bureau. However, no job meant more to her than being a mother and grandmother. She was also a lifetime member of VFW Auxiliary 10804. Surviving Mary are Patricia Sperry Leeser (daughter), Pat's son, Robert Sperry, his wife, Courtney, and children Lexi, Lucy and Jackson. Also surviving are Donald Adamsky (son), his wife, Mary K., their son, Chris, and his wife, Katie. In addition, she is survived by a niece, Linda Sweeney, along with a nephew, Charles Stapinski, and his wife, Tonia. No viewing or formal services are planned and interment will take place at a later date. Arrangements are being handled by the LEE FUNERAL HOME in Little River, S.C.
