Constance Marie Imbesi
Constance Marie Imbesi, 86 Devoted mother and wife Constance Marie Imbesi, age 86, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2019, with her family by her side, at Staten Island University Hospital in New York. She was born Sept. 15, 1932, in Brooklyn to Angelo and Frances (Morreale) Alfonso. She was a 1950 graduate of Prospect Heights High School. She married Vincent Imbesi on Oct. 9, 1954, in Brooklyn. She worked for New York Telephone Company, the New York City Board of Education, and finally, as a police administrative aide with the New York City Transit Authority, displaying a fierce intellect and consistently rising in rank through the department. Constance truly lived her life to the fullest. She enjoyed shopping, chatting with friends, traveling with her husband, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She had an incredible ability to reach people in a deeply positive, honest way, and will be dearly missed by all her loved ones. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Vincent; daughter, Susan Galbo and her husband, Frank; son, John Imbesi and his wife, Camille; and granddaughters, Francesca, Danielle, Alexandra, and Nicole. Visitation will take place from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today, Friday, Jan. 11, at Hanley Funeral Home, 60 New Dorp Lane, Staten Island, N.Y. 10306. Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, 90 3rd St., Staten Island, N.Y. 10306. Burial is in Ocean View Cemetery. The family would like to express our sincere thanks for all condolences and warm support.
