Nancy Ogburn
Nancy Morrison Ogburn, 77, passed away peacefully at her home December 26, 2018. She was a graduate of Shades Valley High School and UAB. She was passionate about her career as a copy editor and worked for Southern Progress Corporation in Birmingham for many years. She worked for nearly a decade for World Publishing in Orlando. After a brief retirement, she returned to Birmingham and worked for Hoffman Media as a copy editor until 2017. She loved theater, music, and the arts. She loved her canine companions and supported rescuing dogs. She is survived by her daughter, Andrea Ogburn Stewart(Matt), and son, Carl Alex Ogburn(Mary). She was preceeded in death by her father, Colonel Clifford Peyton Morrison; mother, Thelma Ray Morrison; and brother, Clifford Peyton Morrison Jr. The family held a private memorial in her honor and suggests donations to the Humane Society or SPCA.
