Thomas R. Consolazio Jr.
Thomas R. Consolazio Jr. Briarcliff Manor - Thomas (Tom) Consolazio Jr., passed away on Tuesday, January 8, 2019, in Briarcliff Manor, NY after a colorful 92 years of life. He was born April 30, 1926 in Yonkers to the late Thomas "Pop" Consolazio and Helen (Cowley) Consolazio. While working for Chrysler, he met and married Ethel Kirschall, with whom he had three beloved sons: Richard, Eric and Gary. In 1973, he married Barbara Becker and they had a son Todd. He owned the Shongut Boat and Engine Center, located in Mamaroneck and Rye, retiring in 2005. Tom is predeceased by his wife Barbara in 1999, sister Janet Musante, daughter-in-law Carol Ann Consolazio, step-mother Mildred (Oswald) Consolazio and step-siblings, Eleanor Gasparino, James "Joe" Corselli and Madeline Langendorf. He is survived by his sister Loretta Dalton of Eastchester, NY and his sons: Richard and Michele of Cincinnati, OH, Eric and Kristen of Wurtsboro, NY, Gary and Jeanne of Wappingers Falls, NY and Todd Consolazio of New York, NY. Also surviving are his grandchildren: Evan, Daniel, Christina and Kevin. A special thank you to Antonia Carvalho who lovingly cared for Tom in his final year with warmth, patience, and selflessness. Visitation will be Sunday 1-4pm and 6-8pm at McMahon, Lyon & Hartnett Funeral Home, Inc. in White Plains, where a service will take place Monday at 11:00am.
