AVON - Kenneth B. Williamson, 70, Avon, passed away at 6:45 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2019, at OSF Richard Owens Hospice House in Peoria. He was born Saturday, Sept. 18, 1948, in Avon, the son of Ira L and Phyllis (Myers) Williamson. He married Julia E. Cook on June 8, 1969, at the E.U.B. Church in London Mills. Kenneth is survived by his wife, Julia of Avon; three daughters, Jamie (Clint) Endres of Canton, Jennifer (Jason) Wasson of East Moline, and Katie (Matthew) Beck, currently of Ramstein Air Force Base, Germany; one son, Kevin of Houston, Texas; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother, Jerry (Marjorie) Williamson of Ranchester, Wyoming; one sister, Deborah Burton of Granite City; three nieces and one nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one infant brother, Gary. He graduated from Spoon River Valley High School and Spoon River College, he also attended Western Illinois University. Kenny was employed by Butler Manufacturing for 35 years, until he retired in 2005. He was a lifelong diehard fan of the St. Louis Cardinals. He was a member of London Mills United Methodist Church. Graveside service will be at at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 11, 2019, at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Avon. Memorials may be made to London Mills United Methodist Church and or the Richard Owens Hospice Home. Wise Family Funeral Home, Avon, is in charge of arrangements.
