June E. Sabatino PEN ARGYL June E. Sabatino, 91, of Pen Argyl, PA passed away Monday, January 7, after a short stay at Slate Belt Health and Rehab Center, Bangor. June was born in Bangor, PA, on June 3, 1927, a daughter of the late Robert and Katie (Frutchey) Baskwill. She was the widow of Domenick F. Sabatino, who passed away in 2010, after celebrating 63 years of marriage. June was employed at various garment mills in the Slate Belt area. Her last employment was as a presser at Majestic Athletics, until retiring in 2005. She was proud of pressing the names and numbers on the Major League Baseball uniforms. She was a 1945 graduate of Bangor High School. June was an avid reader until her vision failed and then she enjoyed listening to her romance novels on tape. She was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Roseto, PA. June is survived by a son, Robert "Bob" Sabatino of Pen Argyl, PA; a sister, Betty Rechtor of Allentown, PA; a brother, Robert Baskwill of York, PA; one granddaughter, Sabrina Sabatino Reisinger, wife of Dave, one great-granddaughter, Summer Sabatino, daughter-in-law, Donna Sabatino, and various nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Frederick "Freddy" Sabatino and two sisters, Madelyn Mosbach and Mariam Priori. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 12 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, Third and Garibaldi Ave., Roseto, PA. Friends and family are invited to call from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, January 11 and on Saturday, January 12 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Samuel A. Campanaro Funeral Home, 841 Slate Belt Blvd., Bangor, PA. Burial will be held at the New Catholic Cemetery, Roseto, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Mt.
