In memory of
Carolyn Genest Fisher
TUCSON - My big sister, Cal, 71, passed away Dec 2, 2018. She will be missed by her family and friends, especially by her son, Matthew, who cared for her through out her illness, and her best friend, Elaine Wilder, who was always there, in the trenches, when it counted. Carolyn was a 1965 graduate of Winslow High School. She attended University of Maine, Augusta for two years and finished her degree at the University of Arizona, Tucson. She volunteered as a 'victims advocate' with the Tucson police dept for a time. She went back to the university and earned her teaching certificate. She taught high school at the Presidio charter school in Tucson. She was bright and gentle and could find humor in anything. She loved teaching kids, and they loved her. She came home to visit two summers ago for the first time in 30 years. We are all so thankful to have had that time together. She was predeceased by her youngest son, Brian Ponsin, 33, who passed in 2016. She is survived by two sons, Matthew Fisher and Michael Fisher, both of Tuscon; two sisters, Nancy Howard of Warren, and Phyllis Crowe of Rockland, and one brother Ray Genest of Brunswick; and several nieces and nephews. Rest now, Cal. Clear sailing from here...
