Heriberto "Laredo" Medellin Sr.
Heriberto Medellin Sr. "Laredo" Alice, TX Heriberto E. "Laredo" Medellin Sr., 88, passed away January 5, 2019. He was born March 16, 1930 in Laredo, Texas to Victorio Medellin and Juanita Espinoza Medellin. Heriberto served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Heriberto had a strong work ethic. He worked as a custodian for the Jim Wells County courthouse for numerous years and as a driller in the oilfield industry. Heriberto enjoyed hunting and was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and Alice Coyote Fan. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Laredo was preceded in death by his parents, Victorio and Juanita Medellin; great grandson, Tommy Cavazos; siblings, Humberto "Buda" Medellin, Adolfo Medellin and Raul Medellin Sr. Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Josefa "Pepa" Medellin of Alice, Texas; sons, Heriberto "Butch" Medellin Jr. (Patricia C. Ramirez) of Alice, Texas, Jose (Linda) Medellin of Portland, Texas and Oscar (Melba) Medellin of Alice, Texas; daughters, Irma Godines of Alice, Texas and Melba (Joby) Revilla of Alice, Texas. Other survivors include his sister in law, Zoila Medellin of Alice, Texas; 16 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 9, 2019 from 5 till 9 p.m. at Rosas Funeral Home Chapel with a rosary being recited at 7 p.m. that evening. A funeral mass will be celebrated Thursday, January 10, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial to follow at 1 p.m. at Coastal Bend Veterans Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Eric Martinez, Joseph Medellin, Oscar Medellin, Marcus Medellin, Berto Medellin, Tony Medellin, J.L.
