CALLEN, AURORA 9/1/1939 - 1/4/2019 MARYSVILLE, WA Aurora R. Callen, age 79, formerly of Kent City, MI, passed away unexpectedly January 4, 2019, in Marysville, WA. Aurora was born in Seattle, WA, to Howard and Geraldine Taylor. Aurora was preceded in death by her lifelong companion, Edwin Callen; brother, Robert Taylor; and son-in-law, Bill McDonald. She is survived by her children, Annette Callen, Gary (Judy) Callen, Bev (Delmer) Roberson, Kim McDonald, Bruce (Nicki) Callen, Kathy (Tony) Erbes, and Nancy Callen, 11 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and brothers Art, Jim and Donn Taylor. Aurora and Edwin were very proud of their seven kids they raised together on the family fruit farm. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren held a very special place in her heart. She enjoyed playing cards, crafting, knitting and quilting. Many knew her as "Rory" during her years in various bowling leagues. A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 25 at Bailey Christian Church, Bailey, MI. Family and friends may meet with the family one hour prior to the 1 p.m. service. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial contribution to the American Heart Association.
