In memory of
Charlotte "Carly" Jablonski
Charlotte Cooper Caine Jablonski was born on August 2, 1938 in Jersey City, New Jersey. She was the only child of Emily Angela McCarthy and George C. Caine. Charlotte, whose preferred nickname was Carly, attended several schools in her early years, but had a special place in her heart for the high school she graduated from, The Vail-Deane School in Elizabeth, New Jersey. After high school she attended Denison University. She graduated in 1958 with a Bachelor of Arts. It was at Denison where she met Richard B. Jablonski. Carly and Dick were married on December 27, 1958 and spent the next 60 years together. As newlyweds Carly and Dick lived briefly in Columbus, Ohio before moving to Wichita Falls Texas, then Savannah Georgia while Dick served in the Air Force. Upon completing his Air Force service Dick was hired by IBM. It was with IBM they moved to Vestal NY; Lambertville NJ; Rueil Malmaison, France and Sandy Hook CT. Their last home was in Southbury CT before settling into Maplewood in Newtown CT. At every stop along the way her life was enriched by the many wonderful friends she met. Each person held a special place in her heart. Carly was a full time mom, volunteer swim instructor at the local Y, writer about the Revolutionary War, tennis player and international home chef to name a few of the things she excelled at. Given their many moves, much of Carly’s time and energy was spent restoring homes and gardens, always done with hard work, passion and TLC. I am grateful to have had a wonderful mom, words just don’t say enough. She adored and was so proud of her granddaughters, Anne and Kim. And she tremendously cherished the rest of her family, those living (especially cousins Shirley and Chris, and their respective children) as well as those who have passed. And last but not least, those who know her know how special her canine and feline ‘family’ were to her. Carly was greatly loved and will be missed. Family & Friends are invited to The Cassidy-Flynn Funeral Home Inc. 288 East Main Street Mt. Kisco, NY 10549 on Friday January 11, 2019 from 2-4pm & 6-8pm for visitation. Graveside Service will be held on Saturday January 12,  2019 at 10:30am  Oakwood Cemetery 300 Lexington Avenue Mt. Kisco, NY 10549 in lieu of flowers the family have requesed memorial donations in her name to American Heart Association  http://www2.heart.org/goto/ CarlyJablonski
