LURMA JO BENSON Benson (Neal-Bacon), Lurma "Jo", age 78, of Las Vegas, a retired manufacturing and sales supervisor passed away December 29, 2018, in Las Vegas. Born December 16, 1940 in Oklahoma City, she lived in Torrance, CA and graduated from North Torrance High School in 1959. She remained in Southern California for more than 50 years before moving to Las Vegas. She became a Pioneer for women in the workplace in the 1960's and 1970's supervising in various companies such as Sears, Industrial Dynamics, Ancra Corporation and Hewlett Packard before retiring and working for the National Forestry Division and Nationwide Santas. Family was her passion. She would often be found researching family genealogy. Survivors include her daughters, Gina Bacon and Toni (Steven) Bock; grandchildren, Derek Bloomstadt and Raylene Bacon; brothers, Jimmy (Priscilla) Neal and Tom (Monika) Neal. Private family services are scheduled. In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Arrangements entrusted to Palm Southwest Mortuary.
