Jerry Dean Nicholas
Jerry Dean Nicholas, 65, of Pascagoula, MS passed away on Wednesday, January 1, 2019. He was born May 29, 1953 in Flomaton, AL. He enjoyed playing golf and coaching youth sports. He was a devoted father, husband, brother, and friend. More than anything he loved helping people and will be remembered for his generous heart. Jerry was preceded in death by his mother, Peggy Tworzyalo; step-father, James Johnson; brother, Charles Nicholas; and sister, Wanda Hicks. He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Freeda Nicholas; sons, John Lee Nicholas and Jeremy Kyle Nicholas; sister, Donna (Roger) Oliver; brothers, Michael Johnson and John Johnson; special sister-in-law, Belinda Franks; brother-in-law, Randy (Shannon) Franks; and Gabby, the much loved grand-puppy; along with many other friends and relatives. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 4, 2019, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home in Moss Point, MS. Funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment will immediately follow at Serenity Memorial Gardens in Theodore, AL. Serving as pallbearers will be Ernie Denmark, Tommy Moore, Kim Seaman, Leroy Faucet, Jimmy Browning, and Thomas Oliver. Honorary pallbearer will be Perry Hockaday. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made in Jerry's memory to Jackson County Animal Shelter, 4400 Audubon Lane, Gautier, MS 39553. Heritage Funeral Home, locally owned and operated in Moss Point/Escatawpa, MS, is in charge of arrangements.
