Kathleen Elizabeth Colini, 55 Her true passion was spending time with her children Kathleen Elizabeth (Zazula) Colini, loving wife, mother, daughter, and sister passed away at home on Sunday, Dec. 30, 2018. Kathleen was born Oct. 7, 1963, and lived all her life on Staten Island. She was a 1981 graduate of St. Peter's Girl's High School. Kathleen was employed in the accounts payable department on the Navy base of Fort Wadsworth from 1985 up until the birth of her first born son, Michael Francis in 1990. Kathleen was a very active member on various PTAs at P.S. 41 and Our Lady Queen of Peace, but her true passion in life was spending time with her four children, Michael, Lauren, Nicholas, and Christian. In 2000, Kathleen returned to the nursing program at the College of Staten Island. Six days after giving birth to her youngest child, Christian, Kathleen graduated the nursing program with a 3.9 High Honors grade. She was employed at Staten Island University Hospital North site from 2004 until 2013. Kathleen is survived by her husband, Michael, her children, Lauren, Nicholas, and Christian. She was pre-deceased by her son, Michael Francis, who passed away in 2017. She is also survived by her mother, Kathleen (Patty) Zazula, brother, Dennis Zazula, and sisters, Nancy Zazula and Kerry Mahlert. Viewing is Thursday, 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Hanley Funeral Home. Mass is Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady Queen of Peace. Burial is at Moravian Cemetery.
