Guido D'Ascoli Skilled carpenter and Navy veteran Guido D'Ascoli, 89, passed peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Dec. 5, 2018, at St. Barnabas Medical Center, Livingston, N.J. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Joseph's Church, 767 Prospect St., Maplewood, N.J., on Monday, Dec. 10, at 11:15 a.m. Interment is in Hollywood Memorial Park, Union, N.J. Visitation will be held at The Jacob A. Holle Funeral Home, 2122 Millburn Ave., Maplewood, N.J., on Sunday, from 2 to 6 p.m. Born in Newark, N.J., Guido lived in Maplewood for 50 years. He served in the United States Navy on the U.S.S. White Marsh LSD 8, from Jan. 11 1951, until Oct. 25, 1954. He was an incredibly talented carpenter for Schroeder Bros. in Union from 1970 to 1990. Guido was predeceased by his wife, Constantina "Tina" Iandolo D'Ascoli; his son, Frederick "Freddy" D'Ascoli; his brothers, Frederick, Peter, Rocco, Jerry and Joseph D'Ascoli, and sisters, Dorothy Petriccione and Irma Minervino. He is survived by his daughter, Rosa D'Ascoli Bracaglia; son-in-law, Paul C. Bracaglia; grandson, Paulie Bracaglia; brother, Edmund D'Ascoli, and many nieces and nephews and grandnieces . In lieu of flowers, donations to America's vet dogs, 371 E Jericho Tpke., Smith Town, N.Y., 11787 ( vetdogs.org ) would be appreciated.
