Lucille Kaney Ridge - Lucille Kaney, 70 of Ridge, NY passed suddenly with her family by her side on Sunday, Dec. 2, 2018. Lucille originally of Nyack, NY, was born December 26th, 1947 to the late Rocco, and Angela DePietro. Lucille graduated with a masters degree in Education from St. Thomas Aquinas College. She was a retired elementary school teacher for the George Miller School, who was loved dearly by her students, and faculty. She is survived by her two sons Dennis Kaney and his wife Mojgan, John Kaney and his wife Coleen; 2 grandchildren Ryan Thomas, and Fiona Eileen; 1 sister Jane Miller, and 4 brothers Rocco, Jerry, James, and Jack DePietro; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is predeceased by her daughter Sara. She had many passions, including her faith, decorating for the holidays, cooking, being a mother and grandmother, and spending time with her family and friends. She was a gentle, caring soul, and lived every moment with care and love for others. The wake will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 3 to 5 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7 on Long Island at the O.B. Davis Funeral Home, 1001 NY-25A Miller Place NY 11764. The Funeral Mass will be at 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7 at St. Mark's RC Church, 105 Randall Rd., Shoreham, NY 11786. The burial ceremony will be Saturday, Dec. 8 at St. Isidore's Cemetery, 201 Reeves Ave., Riverhead, NY.
