Joseph Louis Bianco Sr.
Joseph Louis Bianco Sr., 78 Loving husband, father, and grandfather Joseph Louis Bianco Sr. passed away on Dec. 3, 2018. He was born in New Brighton, S.I., on June 15, 1940, and was the son of the late Carmella and Louis Bianco. Joseph is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Evelyn; children, Joseph Jr., and Lynda; adoring grandchildren, Devin, Lucia, and Domenic; daughter-in-law, Kimberly Bianco, and devoted sister, Virginia Gattullo. Joseph adored his children, grandchildren, and enjoyed cooking, fishing, gardening, woodworking, photography, collecting sports memorabilia, and vacationing with his wife. Mr. Bianco graduated from St. Peter's Boys High School, and attended the College of Staten Island and St. John's University. He was successful in his professional life as a project manager in the tri-state area, and oversaw the construction of SUNY Oswego. He was a co-owner/operator of a Dairy Queen in New Jersey, and then embarked on a 10-year career as carpenter and dock builder foreman, and finally retired as a construction superintendent with the Board of Education in 2002, after 17 years of distinguished service. Friends are invited to pay respects at Casey Funeral Home at 350 Slosson Ave. on Thursday, Dec. 6, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Rosary Church in South Beach at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 7, followed by a private cremation.
