Nellie Morgan, 78 Loved and cherished grandmother, longtime Macy's employee Nellie Morgan died recently in the comfort of her Mariners Harbor, S.I., home. Her primary caregiver and friend, Lee Parham, was at her side. She died two days shy of her 79th birthday. She worked tirelessly for Macy's in Herald Square for over 40 years, and was a Local 1-S union member. She was well-liked and respected by her co-workers, some of whom attended her retirement party. Nellie was born on Nov. 28, 1939, in Petersburg, Va. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Viola Green. She is survived by her sons, Prince (Karen) Morgan, of Antioch, Tenn., and George (Amy) Hogue, of Copperas Cove, Texas. She was loved and cherished by her nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Henry Thomas, of Simpsonville, S.C., and other extended family members. Nellie was cremated.
