CHARLES J. Yoos II
Yoos, II COLONEL CHARLES J. YOOS, II April 16, 1946 November 26, 2018 Chuck Yoos grew up in Lisbon, Ohio, with his parents Charles and Alice Yoos, and sister, Sandy. He accepted an appointment at the Air Force Academy after high school graduation. Graduating fourth in his USAFA class in 1968, Chuck began his 30 year career in the Air Force by attending UCLA Graduate School and receiving the MBA in 1969. That was also the year that Chuck married Linda Betz, his wife of 49 years. They have two children, Heidi and Jake. Chuck later earned a DBA from the University of Colorado. He served on the faculty at USAFA for 19 years, retiring in 1998, after which he was appointed Academy Professor Emeritus. During the 1990's he was extensively involved in Academy honor and character development. He joined the faculty at Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado and taught there in the School of Business Administration until 2017. Chuck and his family have been serving the Lord at Monument Presbyterian Church for over 30 years. After a long battle with cancer, Chuck leaves behind a family tremendously grateful for the life he led and their time together. Chuck's interment will be at 1:00 at the USAFA cemetery on Monday, December 10. A Memorial service will be held at Monument Community Presbyterian Church at 3:00 that same day. In lieu of flowers make donations to St. Jude's Hospital MCPC Capital Improvement.
