Charles Barmore Corpus Christi, TX Born Oct. 25, 1941 Charlie went to be with the Lord on Nov. 28, 2018. Charlie was a beloved son, husband, and father. As a grandfather and great-grandfather he was known as Grump; he was anything but…. Charlie loved his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He served as a Deacon at Padre Island Baptist Church and Comfort Baptist Church. Charlie was a Graduate of W.B. Ray class of 1960. He joined the US Army shortly after high school; he proudly served his country, mostly with Nike missiles in the Everglades during the Cuban Crisis. He married the love of his life, Hazel Barmore, in 1966. He worked at PPG Industries, in the oil field and for an Investment He retired in 2002 and moved to the Texas Hill Country. He came home to Corpus Christi in June 2018. Charlie is survived by his wife of 52 years, Hazel Barmore, son Garland Barmore, (Norma), Daughter Christy Barmore, granddaughters: Taylor Berry (James), Allyson Barmore, Bailey Barmore, and Sydney Barmore. Pastor Jess Cole will preside over services on Thursday, Dec. 6, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Grace Community Church in Flour Bluff, Texas.
