Dallas B. Hughes
Dallas B. "PapPap" Hughes, 93, of Harrisburg, passed away November 25, 2018, at Colonial Park Care Center. He was the widower of Delores (Kurtz) Hughes and the son of the late Brook and Alice (Straw) Hughes. Dallas grew up in Highspire the fifth of seven children. In his youth, he enjoyed playing football and baseball and continued to love sports throughout his life. He retired after 35 years from Stoner Beverage Company as Promotion manager. His main joy in life was spending time with his family. Dallas was a devoted and loving father to his daughters, Colleen, Vickie, Valerie Hughes and Cindy (Tom) Lloyd; grandchildren, Tieanna, Joel (Bethany) and Aaron Lloyd; a great-grandchild, Bryce Bortz; a niece, JoAnne Bair and her children, Dave Bair, Jr. and Avery Zisek. In addition to his wife and parents, Dallas was predeceased by his siblings: Jessie, Curtis, Paris, Sidney, Naomi, and Patience Hughes. Per his request, there will be no memorial service.
