Joan Barbara Steiner Kerman Skokie, IL - Joan Barbara Steiner Kerman, 90, of Skokie. Beloved wife of the late Harold Kerman; cherished mother of Robert (Diane) Kerman and Richard (Carol) Kerman; loving grandmother of John, Kyle, Joseph, Laura, Jacob, Adam, Jason and Joshua; loving great grandmother of Louden, Chaise, Colten, Madissen, Holden, Maddox and Watson; sister of Elaine Diamond; cherished daughter of the late George and Jane Steiner. Joan is also survived by her dedicated and devoted caregivers Nila, Marianita, Lilia, Edith, Gina and Gladace. Joan attended U of I in Champaign. She was a creative and talented artist & art teacher, a member of the Chicago Society of Artists & past President of the Palm Springs Branch of the National Pen Women. She was a dedicated volunteer to several special need organizations and a lover of cats and dogs. Funeral services were held Thursday, November 15, 2018 at Am Shalom, 840 Vernon Ave., Glencoe, IL 60022. Interment Rosehill Cemetery. Memorial contributions to your favorite animal shelter appreciated.
