In memory of
Donald C. Ronketty
Donald C. Ronketty Palm Desert - Donald C. Ronketty, "The Don Ron", passed away at the age of 82 at his residence in Palm Desert, CA. The passing occurred on 10/15/2018 from complications of Parkinsons disease. Don was born January 6th of 1936 and raised in California. He is predeceased by his parents Willis and Elma Ronketty and his brother Robert Ronketty. Continuing the family's artistic talents, Don turned his love of art into a career that encompassed ceramics, painting of all mediums (including oil, watercolor, and pastels), photography, digital art and graphic design. He traveled extensively throughout the US as well as Mexico, Ireland, Germany, Italy and Japan. Whenever he traveled, he visited every art museum he could and observed artists at work in their galleries. Don was a keen observer and preferred to be on the sidelines, enjoying people and scenery from a larger perspective. Even as a life long bachelor, he was a dedicated family man. He cared for his elderly father and his long time girlfriend Gail. He also was a loyal and dedicated friend. All who knew Don would describe him as a very kind, gentle, intelligent, and generous person, with a dapper sense of style (complete with his signature waxed mustache) and a wry wit. He is survived by his daughter Elisabeth Mansfield, (Ron) and three granddaughters Samantha, Victoria, and Isabella. He also leaves behind many cousins. The interment of his ashes will be at Resurrection Cemetery Mausoleum: 966 N Potrero Grande Dr., Montebello, CA 90640. There will be a celebration of his life Saturday January 5th 2019 1pm to 5pm (Happy hour) in the Ventana Room at Sun City Palm Desert: 38180 Del Webb Blvd., Palm Desert, CA 92211 Please join us to share stories of his amazing life. If you would like to reach out please email his daughter at lmansfield8541@gmail.com In Lieu of flowers please send any donations to either The Michael J Fox Foundation ( www.michaeljfox.org/Donate_Now ) or Palm Springs Art Museum ( www.psmuseum.org )
