Donald Ashby
Donald Dean Ashby, age 87, passed away peacefully at his home in Aurora, Colorado on November 9, 2018. Don was born on January 8, 1931 in Garden City, Kansas. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Mary Ashby. Don was a loving father and grandfather, survived by his children Denise Ashby Letzler and Jonathon Lee Ashby, three grandsons (Brian, Dylan, and Blake Letzler), and a great-granddaughter Tyler Raye Hope Letzler. He is predeceased by his son, Kenneth Ashby. Don was a teacher and coach at South Junior High School in Lawrence, Kansas from 1968-1984. Don was a man of unwavering faith in Jesus. His family is at peace knowing he is with his heavenly father. A funeral service will be held on Dec.1st at 1:00 pm at Cherry Creek Presbyterian church, 10150 E Belleview Ave, Greenwood Village, CO 80111. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to one of two charities. First, Denver Hospice, which provided such loving care during his final weeks of life ( thedenverhospice.org ). Second, Global Media Outreach, an online missionary ministry dedicated to spreading the good news of Christ and salvation through him ( globalmediaoutreach.com )
