Joseph B. Squatrito, 73 Owner of Hair Odyssey Beauty Salon held several patents Joseph B. Squatrito, 73, born and raised in South Beach, Staten Island, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family, on Nov. 17, 2018. He was a successful business owner of Hair Odyssey Beauty Salon for over 40 years, a published author, and held several U.S. patents. Joe was the loving husband to Patricia (nee Corrigan) for the past 53 years; and a cherished father to his children, Lucianne Squatrito, Salvatore and his wife, Lori, Alisa Bianco and her husband, Anthony. As the proud grandfather of Salvatore and Gabriella Squatrito and Aiden and Addisen Bianco, he will not soon be forgotten. He will also be greatly missed by his brother, Benedetto; sister-in-law, Rosemarie; sisters, Saveria Varriano (the late Angelo), Angela Martucci and brother-in-law, Peter. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral arrangements by Scarpaci Funeral Home of Staten Island include visitation on Tuesday, Nov. 20, from 4 to 8 p.m., and a Funeral Mass at St. Clare's RCC on Wednesday, Nov. 21, at 11 a.m. A private cremation will follow the services. In lieu of flowers, Joseph's family requests donations be made in his name to The Heart Institute at Staten Island University Hospital, 475 Seaview Ave., Staten Island, N.Y. 10305.
