Pete R. Ramirez, Jr. Corpus Christi, TX Pete R. Ramirez, Jr., (affectionately known as Popo to many) passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on November 1, 2018 at the young age of 68. He was born on July 30, 1950 to his parents Pedro and Augustina Ramirez in Monterrey, Mexico. He joins now in heaven, his loving parents, and his brother, Joe Ramirez. Pete was a proud US Army Drill Sergeant Veteran. He and his wife enjoyed going to casinos and taking bike rides with their friends on their Harley. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and also took pride in fishing with his son, brothers and nephews. He leaves behind, to cherish his memories, his beloved wife of 44 years, Aldaemma Ramirez; a daughter, Virginia Ann Ramirez; a son, Pete (Lily) M. Ramirez III; seven grandchildren, Aracely & Alejando Guerrero, Vivianna Ramirez, Guliannah Vandermiller, Brianna, Eric & Jesse Flores; one great-grandson, Joseph Trevino III; and one great-grandchild on the way. He also leaves behind his sisters, Esther (Carlos) Ortiz, Janie (Alfred) Perez & Julie Ramirez; his brothers, Fortino (Sophie), Tony (Dee), Lupe (Isabel), Robert (Stephanie), Andy (Sylvia) & Ralph Ramirez; numerous nieces and nephews. We lost a great man. The family wishes to thank Addi Hospice Services for all the attention given to our beloved Popo & to all the doctors and nurses and Bay Area Heart Hospital. Public Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, November 6, at Guardian Funeral Home with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. that evening. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, November 7, at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church, 3513 Cimarron Blvd. Burial to follow in Rose Hill Memorial Park, 2731 Comanche St.
