Doris M. Taschler Mrs. Doris M. Taschler, 95, formerly of Lehighton, passed away Thursday, Oct. 11, 2018, at Maple Shade Meadows, Nesquehoning. She was the wife of the late Lewis R. Taschler who passed away Jan. 27, 2003. Born in Lehighton on July 5, 1923, she was a daughter of the late Edward & Myrtle (Billig) Wass- mer. Prior to her retirement, she was employed at Scotty's Fashions as a garment worker. She attended services at Bethany Evangelical Congregational Church in Lehighton. In her spare time, she could be found sewing, cooking, baking and taking care of her grandchildren. Surviving is a brother, Edward C. Wassmer of Lehighton, three grandchildren, Kelly Moser, Shelly Michlovsky and Brian Taschler; three great- grandchildren, Jacob Taschler, Adam Taschler and Noah Michlovsky; two great-great-grandchildren, Samuel and Sophia; and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Ronald E. Taschler in 2010. Services: Funeral services will be held on Oct. 18 at 2 p.m. at The Ovsak Funeral Home, 190 S. Fourth St., Lehighton with Mrs. Emma Weaver S.A.L.M officiating. Call 1-2 p.m. on Thursday. Interment in the Lehighton Cemetery.
