Charles Gardner
 Charles Gardner Carl J. Gardner, age 79, of Otisfield, ME passed away after a long illness on September 25, 2018. He was born on April 20, 1939 in Allagash, ME, the son of Omer and Florence Gardner, and lived much of his youth in Harmony, ME. He graduated from the University of Maine Orono in 1961 with a Bachelors in Engineering Physics, and worked for the US Army, Picatinny Arsenal, NJ for over 40 years in research engineering. He is remembered for his keen sense of humor, compassion and listening ear to his friends, and a deep love for his family. After retirement in 2001, he moved back to his beloved Maine. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Luella Ellington. He is survived by his wife, Janet; daughters Sarah, Kristen, Suzanne and Jennifer, and 5 grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 19th at Noon at the Spurrs Corner Church in Otisfield.
