Julius Resnick
Julius Resnick, 85, of Longmeadow, formerly of Springfield and Enfield, passed away on Saturday Oct. 6th at the Jewish Nursing Home. He was born in October 1932 in Springfield, MA. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and served in Europe in the 1950's. He owned and operated Julius Resnick Painting and Paper Hanging for over 50 years. Julius was the son of Murray and Bessie (Kaplan) Resnick, who predeceased him. In 1957, he married Barbara Dinerstein and they enjoyed 52 years together. She died in 2009. Julius leaves his sons Michael (Diane), David and Jon, his daughters Susan (Jack) Ross and Elizabeth, his grandchildren John, Alexandra, Matthew, Haley and Tessa, and his sisters Anita Gold, Sharon (Edward) Orenstein and Marlene (Cliff) Simons. His son Jon and daughter Elizabeth carry on his tradition - J.J. Resnick Painting and Paperhanging of Littleton, MA. Donations may be sent to JGS Lifecare or to the D'Amour Cancer Center. Julius always only wanted "for everyone to only be happy." His graveside service will be Wednesday Oct. 10th at 11:00 AM at Sinai Memorial Park.
