Lamar Semmel Lamar Semmel, 81, formerly of Lehighton, passed away July 25, in Brooksville, Florida. Lamar was born in Cumbola, Schuylkill County, to Robert and Anna Semmel. He retired from Blue Ridge Cable where he worked for many years. He served in the Pennsylvania National Guard and was very active in the Lehighton Booster Club, as well as being an avid golfer. Lamar is survived by his loving wife, Delores, to whom he was married for 62 years; sons, David of Mahoning Township and Dennis, and his wife Cheryl, of Schnecksville; six grandchildren, Jodi, Jamie, Cody, Kylee, Austin and Brandon; four great-grandchildren, Vincent, Ajahlee, Damonte and Zion; brothers, Richard, Roy, Randy, Ronald and Rick. He was predeceased by a brother Robert. Service: A Celebration of Life service was held Sept. 8 at his son David's home.
