CLIFFORD 'CLIFF' ISON, 86 AUBURNDALE - Mr. Clifford 'Cliff' Ison, age 86, a resident of Auburndale, passed away Monday, October 1, 2018, with his wife by his side. Mr. Ison was born January 6, 1932 in Hazard, Kentucky to Charlie and Mary (Riddle) Ison. Cliff moved 33 years ago from Indiana to Florida. He was known to the Auburndale/Winter Haven communities as 'Cliff the Barber' owning his own establishment on 34th Street then retiring from a former barber shop on Recker Hwy. in 2008. He was a United States Army veteran serving during the Korean Conflict. Cliff was a member of Westwood Missionary Baptist Church, member of the Masonic Lodge and American Legion. He enjoyed gardening, horses, loved fishing and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents; son David Ison; brothers Don, Bruce, Herb, Ike, Evertte & Marvin; sisters Sue & Mattie. Cliff is survived by his loving family: wife of 30 years: Jennifer Ison of Auburndale, son Mark Ison of Portage, IN; loving in-laws, nieces, nephews and other relatives & friends. Funeral service will be 1:00 pm Wednesday, October 3rd at Westwood Missionary Baptist Church, 3210 Avenue G NW, Winter Haven, with visitation beginning at 12:00 pm. Interment will follow with Military Honors. Arrangements By: Kersey Funeral Home.
