Ralph J. Gagne
Ralph J. Gagne, 76 CLINTON - Ralph J. Gagne, 76, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at Oakdale Rehabilitation Center in West Boylston. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Claire (LeBlanc) Gagne. He is survived by his daughter, Sharon M. Gagne, with whom he lived, of Clinton; siblings, Russell Gagne of Leominster and Barbara Jarvis of Plainville; several nieces, nephews, extended family, friends, and his "grand-cats" Peter and Christian. He is predeceased by his parents Emil & Edna (Foreman) Gagne, and his brother Raymond J. Gagne. Ralph was born, raised and educated in Attleboro. As a young man he was drafted to serve our nation in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, and as a Specialist 4th Class, he played an integral role in equipment transportation for the war effort until his honorable discharge. Ralph returned home safely to begin his career as a technician with Borden Chemical in Leominster and later worked for several manufacturing companies as a forklift operator. A proud patriot, Ralph was a life member of the American Legion and a registered founding sponsor of the National Museum of the US Army. An automobile enthusiast who could be found at any and all car shows, he too held membership with the Mid State Antique Auto Club. Additional hobbies include Turner Classic Movies, 50's Doo Wop music, crossword and jigsaw puzzles, and building models. Ralph loved animals, was always willing to help a friend in need, and had a keen wit and sense of humor. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10AM on Thursday, September 27, 2018 in St. Richard of Chichester Catholic Church, 4 Bridge Street, Sterling, with burial to follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Fitchburg. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care of Philbin-Comeau Funeral Home, 176 Water St., Clinton. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Ralph J.
