Jane I. Schriewer
Jane I. Schriewer, nee Kuhn, 69, Washington, passed away Friday, Aug. 31, 2018, in Creve Coeur. Born March 23, 1949, in Washington, to the union of Harold Kuhn and wife Jewell, nee Dothage, Jane was a 1967 graduate of New Haven High School. On Feb. 3, 1968, Jane married Kenneth Schriewer, to whom she would be married for 50 years. Jane worked as an administrative assistant for Linmark Machine Products for 11 years. In Jane's free time, she was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and also a member of First Washington United Methodist Church. Jane also was a loving grandmother who loved spending time with her grandbabies and granddoggies. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan and found a new love for cruises, where she was able to zipline in Haiti. She had a profound love for the Lord, and most of all, she loved her family very much. Jane was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Jewell Kuhn. Those who are left to remember Jane are her husband of 50 years, Kenneth Schriewer, Washington; one son, Brett Schriewer and partner Robert Cooper, Kansas City; two daughters, Nancy McCain and husband Kirk, Tampa, Fla., and Mindi Eckelkamp and husband Todd, Washington; two brothers, John Kuhn and wife Nora, Washington, and James Kuhn and wife Kathy, Summerville, S.C.; three grandchildren, Karli Mezo, Cara Mezo and Makenna Eckelkamp; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends. A memorial visitation will be held Saturday, Sept. 22, from 1 to 3 p.m. at First Washington United Methodist Church, with a memorial service from 3 to 4 p.m. at the church. Arrangements are under the compassionate care of Midlawn Funeral Home, Union.
