Norma Marguerite (Riner) Piccaro
Norma Marguerite Piccaro (Riner) 87, Manhattan Beach,CA 9/9/2018 Born:12/12/1930 to Edwin & Marguerite Riner of Los Angeles. Sisters, Dody & Helen. Norma lived all over Los Angeles but once she got to Manhattan Beach that was home for over 50 years. In 1966 she married Charles F Piccaro at American Martyrs Church. Norma was a swimmer, bodysurfer, boogie boarder, volleyballer & played basketball in the movie "Pat & Mike" 1952. She was team mom to every sport her boys played, and there was nothin' she wouldn't try. Known for her fund raising efforts, she allowed those in need to go to camp, become Junior Lifeguards, play soccer, get medical attention and more. Beloved as a "community Mom", she always remembered birthdays, anniversaries, and important memories. Norma was preceded in death by her Mr. Wonderful Charlie (Inky) Piccaro. She is survived by her two sons: Charlie (Brigid) and Pete (Lisa), grandson Julian, & granddaughter Kelsey. Services & Paddle Out, Oct. 4th at 11am on the beach at Marine Avenue, Manhattan Beach. Please come "Beach Casual" as Norma would want. Following the paddle out we will be honoring Norma by hanging at the beach. In lieu of flowers, donate to the "Norma Piccaro Junior Lifeguard Tuition Award", please note this on check.
