Milton Garman Sr.
Milton Garman Sr. PEORIA - Milton J. Garman Sr., 75, of Peoria passed away on Sunday, September 9, 2018, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on December 11, 1942, in Peoria to John Bunyon and Lubertha Bell Garman, whom preceded him in death. Milton married Diane Neal in January of 1973. Milton was a member of Local 18 for 35 years and served on the trustee board. He enjoyed fishing, football and spending time with his family at vacations and reunions. He leaves to cherish his precious memory, his wife of 45 years, Diane Garman; one son, Landry Hill of Independence, LA: one daughter, Natasha Garman of Peoria; one brother, Dan Garman of Peoria; one sister, Lizzie Collins of Independence, LA; a special granddaughter whom he assisted in raising, Alexis Flowers. and a great-grandson, Kington Colander, both of Fairfax, VA; and a host of other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephew, cousins and friends whom will truly miss him. Milton was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Milton Garman Jr.; one brother, Hilton Garman; and three sisters, Elouise Steptoe, Ora Lee Finn and Lovie Thompson. Services will be held Saturday, September 15, 2018, at City on the Hill Church at 11 a.m., with visitation commencing one hour prior. Pastor William Preston will serve as host Pastor and Evangelist Rick Liggins will present the eulogy. Interment will be held at Lutheran Cemetery.
