Susan Elaine Swan, 62, passed away on Monday (Sept. 10, 2018). Susan was born in Liberal on June 2,1956. She attended school in Turpin, Oklahoma, and Liberal. As an adult, she graduated as a radiology technician and had a career in the medical field. Susan established one of the first cell phone businesses in Kansas and had a long career in real estate in several states. She is predeceased by her parents, James and Dorothy Swan. She is survived by her daughter, Kylie (Nick) Dillon and grandsons, Drew and Cole, of Newton; sisters, Annette (Mark) Massoni and Jan (Stan) Foster, both of Turpin, Oklahoma; nieces and nephews: Hayley Smith, Jordan Massoni, Jeremy Foster and Jacey Wellendorf; Gary Franz and family, Marilyn Jo Franz, of Stillwater, Oklahoma; Rich Glover of Newton; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Susan was a woman of great faith. She was a witness to all friends and family of the power of love, forgiveness and walking in the path of Jesus. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family, especially her grandsons. She was greatly loved. A service celebrating her life will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday (Sept. 13, 2018) at the Hesston Mennonite Church in Hesston. A family burial will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday (Sept. 14, 2018) at the Turpin Mennonite Cemetery in Turpin, with visitation at the church following. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with Hesston Mennonite Church or Caring Hands Humane Society. Contributions may be sent to Broadway Colonial Funeral Home, 120 E.
