EMRICK, Eugene Age 98, of Franklin, OH passed away peacefully Saturday, September 8, 2018 at Spring Hills of Middletown surrounded by his family. He was born in Germantown, Ohio on October 20, 1919 to the late Herbert and Martha (Evans) Emrick. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lela Emrick and brother, Ralph Emerick. He worked for a short time at NCR in Dayton before entering the Army in 1943. He was a proud member of the Army Air Corp, servicing in Europe and the United States during World War II, he is also a member of the VFW. Most of his life he was a carpenter building many homes in the Franklin area along with his father. He also worked for Wade Cabinet Shop in Carlisle and later worked for Monsanto until he retired. Eugene is survived by his two daughters, Karen (Daniel) Wigginton, Carol Sleeth; son, Ronald Emrick; grandson, Brian (Jenny) Sleeth; three granddaughters, Aimee Wigginton, Abbie Wigginton, Marty Wigginton; great grandson, Dylan Sleeth; two great granddaughters, Carley Sleeth and Olivia (Alex) Getter. Funeral services are 12:00 pm Thursday, September 13, 2018 at Anderson Funeral Homes 1357 East Second Street Franklin, Ohio with Celebrant Dan Flory officiating. Burial will be in Miami Valley Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held prior to service from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm also at the funeral home.
