JAMES P. TALARICO Sr.
TALARICO JAMES P., SR. Age 76, of Ohio Township, passed away on Saturday, September 8, 2018 surrounded by his family. Beloved husband for five years of Dorothy (Hippley) Talarico and preceded by his first wife of 44 years, the late Flora L. (Cafarelli) Talarico; loving father of Peter (Kathy), Michael (Sharon), and James (Sheila) Talarico, Jr.; stepfather of Adam (Kara), Ted (Angie), Matthew, and Michael (Brennan) Zaller; brother of Sue Black, Frances DeLuca, and the late Phyllis Stein; grandfather of Matthew, Isabel, Nicholas, Cara, Noah, Dominic, and Gina; step-grandfather of Ethan, Ryan, Jacob, Hannah, Scarlett, and Grayson; also survived by his beloved Wheaton Terrier, Hudson. Family will welcome friends Friday, 2-4 and 6-8 at SCHELLHAAS & SONS FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC. , 1600 Stone Mansion Drive, Sewickley, PA 15143 (Franklin Park/Wexford). Mass of Christian Burial will be held in Sts. John & Paul Catholic Church on Saturday, at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Holy Savior Catholic Cemetery. James graduated from Archbishop Hoban High School in 1960 and University of Akron in 1964, where he was a proud member of the Lone Star Fraternity. He received his CPA and worked in finance and accounting for many years, initially with Firestone, for over 30 years with LTV Steel, and retired as CFO from Goldsmith & Eggleton. James was an avid golfer who loved to play at his home course, Clover Hill, and within the past year achieved his lowest lifetime score and hit his only hole-in-one. In lieu of flowers, donations to Archbishop Hoban High School, One Holy Cross Blvd., Akron, OH 44306 or American Cancer Society, 320 Bilmar Dr., Pittsburgh, PA 15205. Please leave condolences at www.schellhaasfh.com
