Marjorie E. (Sailor, Brittain) YOUNG
YOUNG, Marjorie E. (Sailor, Brittain) (Age 95) She entered into rest August 28th, 2018 in Spokane, WA. Her daughter Kimilee was with her. She was born on October 26,1922 in Barstow, WA. Preceding her in death were her parents Evert Sailor and Lelia Hodgson Sailor, her two brothers Dale and Lynn Sailor, her first husband Elton D. Brittain (1940-1970), her second husband William L. Young Jr. (1988-2014) and one granddaughter. She was survived by her sister Faye Gallagher; her three sons Jeffery, Anthony and Scott Brittain; two step daughters, Kimilee Markley and Amy Lightbody; four nieces, four nephews, three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, four step grandchildren and nine step great-grandchildren. After her divorce in 1970 she worked at Noah's Ark Daycare Center for 17 years. She retired in the spring of 1988 and soon after married for the second time. She was a Sunday school teacher, helped with the reading program at Chester Elementary School, she did Tree of Sharing and St. Anne's Meals for the homeless with her husband Bill. Her sweet smile, gentleness of spirit, soft voice and the loving way she treated others is what drew people close to Marjorie. She was always understanding and willing to listen. She left a great many friends and loved ones with a better sense of themselves. She will be greatly missed! Memorial Services will be held at the Community Building at 35 W. Main Ave., in downtown Spokane at 1:00 PM on Sunday, September 30, 2018. Her Interment Services will be held in the spring. Please make donations to Hospice House South or a charity of your choice.
